Every Sunday evening after a thirty minute assembly we spend an hour together engaged in service projects. Our projects are organized into three categories which we rotate through on a monthly basis – i.e. Meetinghouse, Membership and Missions.
Meetinghouse projects include maintenance, cleaning and improvements to the meetinghouse.
Membership projects include encouragement of shut-in or ailing members, prayer sessions and activities meant to further foster our relationships with one another.
Missions projects include a variety of outreach and evangelism focused efforts. The Saturday before each Sunday Missions project we meet a couple of hours to do additional missions work as well.
World Bible School:
We use World Bible School (WBS) online Bible study materials. WBS is a self paced by mail or online Bible study course. Students register online and Putnam City church members adopt them as students becoming their study helpers. Study helpers grade lessons submitted, aid in further understanding of the subjects being studied, building relationships through correspondence and helping students find a way to be baptized when they decide to do so.
Memorial Outreach Garden
Our memorial outreach garden is meant to provide a peaceful, beautiful, informative and spiritually instructive outdoor space in the neighborhood conducive to rest and reflection. The plants in the garden are labeled with plaques indicating the kind of plant they are. When a plant has been added in memory of a member who has died it is also indicated on the plaque. The garden also includes two outreach boxes full of spiritually instructive Bible oriented materials free for the taking by our meetinghouse neighbors. On the top of one box is a place to deposit prayer requests.
