GOD
We believe in the existence of God. He is the Creator of the universe (Genesis 1:1) and therefore is absolutely Sovereign. We believe in Jesus the Messiah who is the Word of God made flesh (John 1:1; 1 Timothy 3:16). He is also the Savior of all mankind (John 3:16,17; Acts 4:12; John 14:6).
SALVATION
According to the Bible there are some important elements associated with salvation. One receives salvation upon belief, repentance of sin, confession that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and immersion in water for the washing away of sins (Acts 2:38; Revelation 1:5; Acts 22:16). This is “obeying the gospel” as expressed by the apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). We acknowledge that baptism is not the work of man, but the work of God, symbolizing the saving power of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus (Roman 6; Colossians 2:11-13). We believe that when a person obeys the gospel of Jesus Christ they are no longer sinners, but justified saints striving to live a faithful, new life in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17; Colossians 3:1-17).
WORSHIP
We as the church come together collectively every first day of the week to worship God, hear His word preached, pray, sing hymns, give free will offerings, and edify one another in the joy of the Holy Spirit.
We partake of the Lord’s Supper every first day of the week, commemorating the death of Christ and examining ourselves (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29).
When we sing it is not with the use of mechanical instruments but with the instruments of our voices (Ephesians 5:19). We sing acapella as expressed in the New Testament.
